I don't really work with and know much of 3D, but for the last days of 36 Days of Type I decided to give it a try. Using photos from Unsplash as the starting point, I created 3D scenes in Dimension CC for the numbers 7, 8 and 9.
Working in Dimension CC was quite easy, even for a 3D beginner. It doesn't take a lot of time to get used to the controls and understand how scaling/moving/rotating objects, changing lights and materials and positioning the camera work. It does take a while to render, though, especially if you go for high quality rendering. :)
After the rendering was complete, I did some final adjustments to the color and overall brightness/contrast in Photoshop. Here are the results.
